Parag Milk Foods appoints Subhodeep Roy as Chief Business Officer

Meta has announced a major reshuffle in its Asia Pacific leadership, appointing Sandhya Devanathan, currently Vice President for Meta India, to additionally head the company’s business across Southeast Asia. This expansion of Devanathan’s role comes as Benjamin Joe, a 14-year veteran at Meta, is set to become the new Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific starting July 2025. 

Joe will succeed Dan Neary, who will be stepping down after steering Meta’s APAC operations for several years.

Devanathan wrote on LinkedIn, “I am excited to take on additional responsibilities and lead our business in both India and Southeast Asia. What remains a constant is our unwavering focus on serving our partners and investing in products that drive growth.” 

Devanathan took over as Meta’s India head in January 2023, brings more than two decades of leadership experience across banking, tech and digital innovation. Prior to her current role, she led Meta’s gaming business across Asia Pacific between April 2020 and January 2023.

Before joining Meta in 2016, Devanathan spent over six years at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where she served as Managing Director of Retail Banking and Payments. Her decade-long tenure at Citi included leadership roles in India, the Philippines and the U.S., spanning product management, consumer lending and global cross-sell strategy.

With this expanded role, Devanathan now oversees Meta’s strategic direction across two of its most dynamic and high-growth markets. Both India and Southeast Asia are pivotal in Meta’s vision for the future.

Benjamin Joe, who led Meta as the vice president - South East Asia and emerging markets, has been elevated to regional vice president, APAC, where he succeeds Dan Neary.

Joe began his career at Meta in new business development with the growth team in the United States and was previously country director for Korea. Prior to joining Meta, Joe worked at McKinsey & Company and IBM. 


Neary, on the other hand, began his career at Kellogg Company and went on to work across McRand International, Vendeo Services, eBay and Skype.


As Skype's former vice president and general manager of global market development, he managed Skype's Regional operations including local marketing channels and partnerships across Asia Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas. He led this group through Skype's spin-off from eBay to Silver Lake and subsequent acquisition by Microsoft.

Meta names Benjamin Joe as Regional VP, APAC; succeeds Dan Neary

Consumer technology company Glance appointed Aashish Benjamin Oommen as Global Head of Brand & Consumer Marketing. He joins as the company accelerates its AI-led transformation across global markets and product categories, driven by its mission to reinvent content and commerce experiences on smart surfaces.

Oommen brings over 18 years of experience in building and scaling digital-native brands and commerce platforms. Most recently, he co-founded Ohsogo, a leading e-commerce platform in Bangladesh, where he played a key role in establishing it as the second-largest player in the Beauty and Personal Care (BPC) category.

Before that, he spent nearly a decade at Myntra, where he led brand marketing across multiple portfolios, including Myntra, Myntra Beauty, and the House of Brands. He played a key role in building youth-centric brands like Roadster and in co-creating successful celebrity-led brands such as HRX with Hrithik Roshan and House of Pataudi with Saif Ali Khan.

He has also held key marketing roles at Arvind Fashions and United Breweries.

Glance appoints Aashish Benjamin Oommen as Global Head of Brand & Consumer Marketing

Skyscanner has officially announced the appointment of Bryan Batista as its new Chief Executive Officer, with the transition set to take place on June 1, 2025.

Batista, who currently serves as the company's Chief Operating Officer, will succeed outgoing CEO John Mangelaars, who is stepping down after more than four years at the helm.

Mangelaars shared: “After four and a half incredible years, I am stepping down as CEO and passing the baton to Bryan. The company is in a great position, and I feel that now is the right time for me personally to make this change and pursue new ventures. I have enormous confidence in Bryan’s leadership and determination to take Skyscanner forward in the next stage of its ambitious growth.”

Batista joined Skyscanner in January 2024 and has since been key in shaping the company's long-term strategy. His background includes significant leadership roles at Tesla and Booking.com, where he served as CEO of Rentalcars.com and SVP of the Trips business unit. 

At Skyscanner, he has played a key role in driving innovation in travel tech, with the platform now scanning over 100 billion prices daily to empower smarter trip planning.

Skyscanner names Bryan Batista as new CEO

The Board of Directors at TV Today Network has approved the appointment and elevation of Gaurav Verma as Chief Operating Officer — Aaj Tak, effective May 16, 2025. As part of this elevation, he has also been designated as one of the Senior Management Personnel of the company.

Verma brings over 25 years of leadership experience across India’s top media organizations. He currently serves as COO at Lallantop, also a part of the TV Today Network. Prior to this, he held prominent roles such as Chief Revenue Officer at Times Network and Zee Media, where he significantly enhanced market presence and built high-performing commercial teams.

His previous stint at TV Today saw him leading revenue strategy for flagship brands Aaj Tak and Tez as Vice President – Sales. He has also worked in leadership roles at CNBC TV18, India Today and Business Standard.

A graduate in commerce from Delhi University, Verma holds a Diploma in Sales & Marketing from NIS and has completed an Executive Excellence Program at ISB.

Aaj Tak appoints Gaurav Verma as Chief Operating Officer

Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL) has announced the appointment of Arvind Mohta as the company’s new Marketing Director. As per the company, the appointment is effective from May 14, 2025.

He succeeds Arvind Hangal, who resigned from his position as Marketing Director and SMP with effect from May 13, 2025. Hangal will take on a senior leadership role at ABD Maestro Private Limited, a subsidiary of ABDL. A formal resignation letter has been submitted and acknowledged by the company.

With nearly two decades of experience across commercial sales and marketing, Arvind Mohta brings deep expertise from leading roles at United Spirits (Diageo), Johnson & Johnson, Jubilant Industries, Mahindra Holidays and Pernod Ricard. His experience spans brand building, sales strategy and new product launches across diverse geographies.

At United Spirits, Mohta was instrumental in launching a mass-market brand extension, refining brand positioning and driving campaigns for the Diageo Reserve portfolio. He was also a founding member of Brand Touch and Analytics, a startup focused on marketing analytics.

Allied Blenders and Distillers appoints Arvind Mohta as new Marketing Director

The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has announced that Vibhor Jain, currently the Chief Operating Officer and a part of the 8-member Executive Committee, will assume the role of Acting CEO with immediate effect. All executive powers will be transitioned to him as the organisation continues its process of identifying a new Managing Director and CEO.

With the transition to a single point of leadership, the responsibilities previously overseen by the 8-member Executive Committee will now be integrated under the Acting CEO's purview, marking the conclusion of the Committee's interim role. 

Suresh Sethi, Board Member, ONDC, said, “The Executive Committee has done a commendable job of guiding ONDC during a critical phase of its journey. However, with several key strategic decisions underway, it is imperative to have a single point of leadership to drive cohesive execution. Vibhor has played a pivotal role in shaping ONDC’s operational framework, and the Board has full confidence in his ability to lead the organisation during this important transition.”

ONDC appoints Vibhor Jain as Acting CEO

At least three senior executives of the IPO-bound Flipkart have reportedly departed. According to a report by Moneycontrol, Flipkart's head of grocery, Ankit Jain, VP of human resources (HR, technology), Prajakta Kanaglekar, and Vice President of the head of analytics Anurag Singhvi have quit from their positions.

Additionally, Ganesh Ramaswamy, VP (Flipkart) and chief product and technology officer (CPTO), Cleartrip, has also quit.

Singhvi has been associated with Flipkart for 13 years, while Jain, Ramaswamy, and Kanaglekar were each with Flipkart for nearly six years.

According to Moneycontrol, Jain will join Swiggy Instamart. He is likely to replace Chief Operating Officer Sairam Krishnamurthy and will join as SVP of Instamart.

Jain will be working with Instamart's CEO Amitesh Jha, who was his colleague at Flipkart until August 2024.

Several media reports also suggested that there was a leadership exit in the company in March this year as well. For instance, Ravi Vijayraghavan (SVP & CDAO), Harsh Chaudhary (VP Growth), Sandeep Karwa (VP Ads Platform), and Mayur Datar (SVP, Chief Data Scientist) resigned.

In February, Flipkart's chief product and technology officer, Jeyandran Venugopal, stepped down after an eight-year stint.
